British Prime Ministers

British Government is divided into two houses: The Upper House or House of Lords and the Lower House or House of Commons. The 'rules' governing the office of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and his or her Cabinet are not set out in a constitution, but have evolved over centuries into a set of customs commonly called 'Constitutional Conventions'. Britain was traditionally governed by the monarchy and aristocracy and even today the Prime Minister is the de facto head of His/Her Majesty's Government, the Sovereign is still historically head of state.
