Apocrypha - The Shakespeare Apocrypha is the name given to a group of plays that some scholars believe were written by Shakespeare, but are not included in the current cannon as there is no proof of their authenticity. This is distinctly separate from the debate on the authorship of recognised Shakespearean works, which addresses the authorship of the works traditionally attributed to Shakespeare
